Elementary school children meet in their own beautiful room, upstairs in the education building, with an experienced, creative, and effective teacher. The Southern Baptist curriculum is followed, which takes the children through the Bible.
Children’s Church: Elementary School children attend church with their parents, listening to the choir, singing the songs, hearing the scripture & prayer. They leave after the special music, going to their own worship chapel where prayer requests are taken, scripture is read together from a children’s Bible, and an age-appropriate explanation is given of the scripture. The presenter has a doctorate in Christian Education and Psychology and is able to capture the heart & mind of the listener.
After the chapel time, children work with teachers, reviewing the teaching, doing crafts, and drama, reinforcing the message of the morning.
Children in Action: On Wednesday evenings, immediately following our dinner, children go upstairs in the education building to a brightly colored, exciting room where they learn about missions. The lessons include insights into various ministries at home and abroad, through video, visits from actual missionaries, and a great text book featuring unreached people groups throughout the world. Children also enjoy crafts and active games together. (Kids love it!)
